What and/or Who Inspired You to Fall in Love with Pilates? 

My massage clients were the first to introduce to me Pilates. As a Business Owner and Massage Therapist (Anointed Hands Massage Therapy), I needed something to ease the aches and pains from giving daily massages, increase my longevity in the field, and keep me strong. I took a class with Trey Fry and I instantly felt relief in my body. It alleviated stress, provided a sense of calm, and strengthened me - it was the perfect self-care fitness routine.

I also liked Trey, immediately. I felt encouraged by his gentle, yet firm touch and reassurance. He is one my inspirations to becoming a teacher.

What Does Traditional Pilates Bring to Milwaukee? The World?

Healing. I feel like we're on a mission to help heal the world through Pilates. 

Pilates has helped me get out of my head and experience the gift of movement. I continue to gain confidence, to overcome fears and insecuritiesnot just about my physical being – but, mentally, as well. After each session, I usually feel energized and ready to face the rest of my day with a positive outlook. I'm not drained or tired. Taking time to care for myself means I am equipped to serve others and help them feel better in their own bodies.

How Do You Explain Pilates to People Who've Never Tried It?

It's not your typical workout. You will feel things reawaken in your body. Things that were dormant or you forgot how to use. You'll be surprised at what your body can do when you allow it to move correctly. People often think that Pilates is hard, that they have to start working out before learning Pilates, and that simply isn’t true.

What Excites You Most About Being on the Kinetic team? 

I’m excited for personal growth. I'm excited to gain experience from highly qualified mentors and help a diverse group of people. Just like massage, Pilates is so good for the body and mind. People experience real change - especially when each session is tailored to a client's specific needs. It can help people in various ways:
